Carmelite Order

Fr. Ron, a member of the Carmelite Order, recently retired from parish ministry. Ordained in 1977, he has served in parish, diocesan, international and community ministries. A particular area of interest and specialty is the initiation of adults.

He utilizes his time in retirement to assist in parishes giving pastors who serve alone time for needed respites, pursuing studies in Carmelite Spirituality, offering days of reflection and weekend retreats to Lay Carmelite communities as well as workshops on the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. He is the author of The Reception of Baptized Christians: Pastoral and Practical Approaches published by Liturgy Training Publications of Chicago.

Although not a Spiritual Director, Fr. Ron was invited to join the Spiritual Direction Rising network as a way of including Carmelite Spirituality to the group’s ministry of promoting Catholic spiritualities.
